Thanks for your question. Your version “como usar la energía renovable” is also a valid structure in Spanish, and we’ve now added it as an accepted answer in the exercise.

In the original correction, the model answer used a noun phrase (como el uso de…) simply because, in this context, it sounded more natural stylistically. But using como + infinitivo is perfectly correct when you want to express “such as doing X / like doing X,” so your option should indeed be allowed.
