Tengo que guardar mi ropa de verano

Tengo que guardar mi ropa de verano

Hello.  Can it also be “la ropa” and be right? Thinking back to the definite article exercise, “mi” wasn’t used to show ownership of clothing.

Hola J

Yes, we could have also said "

Tengo que guardar la ropa de verano.

We assume (normally) that if you say this you are referring to your own clothes, not someone else's, so the possessive is not necessary.

Saludos
