Although we have had the sound with the video, it would be helpful to have somebody reading SLOWLY the text..In this way we can listen to the words and listen at the same time. This is how the French module is set up. It helps us learn. Graçias!

Reading of Los montañes

Actually, I had a different taken and appreciated the speed the speaker used. The reason is that I want to be exposed to some spoken Spanish at (..close to..) the speed at which native Spanish people speak. There is not a lot of opportunity to find transcripts of Spanish spoken at speed. To be honest, I didn't get much of it at first but after listening once, I read the text, looked up some of the words I didn't know and then listened again. I picked up a bit more and I expect to repeat the above multiple times. Although much of the Spanish is beyond my level, I want to be challenged!

Hola Marnie
Did you know that you can choose the audio speed on YouTube videos?
Near the lower righthand corner, click the cog, choose audio and then the speed - I recommend 0.75 if you want the voice to be slow but not distorted.
I hope you will find this tip useful!

I agree that a really slow reading would defeat the aim of the exercise. But something slower that one could read and listen to AT THE SAME TIMEwould be helpful. Really Aurélie's method is good on the French program...

I once spoke Spanish "competently" so you can see that I would not want something too slow.
