Re: question in ihe quiz section

Re: ¡Vamos a ver ________ en directo este verano!

We're going to see the Rolling Stones live this summer!

I was wondering why the name of the "group" requires a personal A here when in one of the examples above it doesn;t:

¿Vais a visitar La Sagrada Familia este sábado?

Are you going to visit La Sagrada Familia this Saturday?

Both are people, so what am I missing here?

Thank you,

Nicole

Hola Nicole

When talking about the Rolling Stones we are referring to the people in the band; this is why it requires the "a". The other example is talking about "La Sagrada Familia" which is a famous monument in Barcelona; this is why you don't need the "a" here.

I hope this helps,

Saludos,

Inma

Hola Inma,

That is so funny, I thought it was talking about a family that is called Sagrada.  That is the problem with not knowing the geography of a place and its monuments.

Thanks so much!

Nicole
