Is it correct to say 'Desde cuánto tiempo vives aquí?' or do you have to say, 'Desde hace cuánto tiempo vives aquí'?

you have to say "Desde hace cuánto tiempo vives aquí?"
Sometimes, a bit more colloquially, we also say "Cuánto hace que vives aquí?"
