Is this really A1?

The vocabulary and long sentences should make this type of story A2 or even higher. Eamples, bodegon to mean still life and lienzo. I wish there were some easier real A1 stories for me to start with. I either have to forget them or spend a lot time

Hola David

It is a bit more challenging because the theme is art and it comes with more specific vocabulary. Remember there is always a space at the top where we suggest to look up some more difficult words before taking the dictation. In this case we are including these words to look up: "lienzo", "alto", "ancho", "bodegón", "delicado", "percibir","porcelana", "textura", "brillo", "pétalos" & "suavidad".

There are more simple and basic dictations when the topics are more general.

Here is a long list of dictations that you can take: dictados

Thanks for the understanding reply. I had not noticed the suggested vocabulary words on the start screen. That helps.

I have done the first 3 dictations in the list. Based on those three, I still feel there is a need for the dictations to start on a lower level. I have done this 2nd dictation close to 10 times and have finally reached the point where I can hear the words of almost all of it. Most beginners will stop before the 10th time. There are some very good things in Kwiziq that I have not seen in other language apps I have tried. I think easier dictations is an area where Kwiziq could easily make a big improvement for beginners.
