You can place the adverb after the verb or at the end of the sentence. Both would be correct.

Vosotros entendéis muy bien a la gente or Vosotros entendéis a la gente muy bien.

Here are other examples where you can be flexible on the placement:

"La familia camina lentamente por la playa" or "La familia camina por la playa lentamente"

(The family is walking slowly along the beach)

"Mi madre está cantando en la cocina felizmente" or "Mi madre está cantando felizmente en la cocina"
