femine numbers on the clock

why does uno change "a la una", but ocho does not "a las ocho en punto"? Thank you!

Hola Speck

we say "a la una" in singular (la, not las) because it is just one (singular). For all other times, it is always the plural "a las ..." because it is higher than one.
