Another bad question that's not realistic in native speech

Question

Trick questions like this one don't help and no one is going to put that adjective in front of axe in Spanish. Smh. I like this web site but the way you guys format questions is really annoying at times. The questions should reflect how a native is MOST LIKELY to say something, not "well let's mess with these people trying to learn a language and confuse them at the same time."

I’m sorry you feel that Kwiziq is trying to "mess with people trying to learn a language"; I can assure you Kwiziq's intentions are far from that.
The example you are referring to, using "la afilada hacha" as opposed to "el hacha afilada" is something that you could very easily find in a written text, maybe not so much in more informal spoken Spanish, but definitely in literature.
We are trying to illustrate how the rule for nouns starting with a stressed "a" or "ha" works when accompanied by articles and adjectives, and how this varies depending on the order. This is also a higher level (B2) lesson where this content is appropriate because at this level students come across different and more advanced pieces of writing, so this topic can be very useful for them.
Kwiziq aims to be comprehensive and it would be remiss on our part to exclude information and testing on knowing that there is a grammatical requirement to modify the gender of the article depending on adjectival order - this is something Spanish-speaking children learn at school.
To make sure we are not over-testing this, I have checked how many questions from this topic are testing this specific use of an adjective placed before this type of "a"/ "ha" stressed words and therefore using a feminine article: there is only this one about the axe (out of 12 questions), the others are testing other points that are explained more thoroughly in the lesson.
