¿A quién no le gustaría.....?

Hola Inma,

With the meaning "who would not like to stay in a place like this" I expected that the subjunctive may be needed, though exactly how this would work with the conditional is beyond me. Perhaps the inference is that absolutely nobody would refuse to stay there but I am speculating. Can you help?

Saludos

Hola John,

You could have use the subjunctive after gustaría if there was a "que", for example:

Who wouldn't like that someone gave you a massage everyday when arriving home everyday after work?

Who wouldn't like that the temperature in England was 25 degrees all the time?

We are using a subordinate clause after gustaría. This is introduced by que.

We can see these very similar sentences but without "que", using an infinitive:

Who wouldn't like to receive a massage everyday when arriving home everyday after work?

Who wouldn't like to always have 25 degrees in England?

I hope you can see the difference.

Saludos
