Spanish nouns that end in -z in Spanish
Spanish nouns that end in consonant -z form their plural by adding -es and changing the -z for a -c.
Look at these examples:
Voy al cine dos veces al mes.I go to the cinema twice a month.
una vez/dos veces
Podemos pescar muchos peces en este río.We can catch lots of fish in this river.
un pez/dos peces
Las voces de esos cantantes son maravillosas.Those voices of those singers are wonderful.
una voz/dos voces
Whatever the gender, they all form their plural this way.
Be careful with nouns that have a written accent in their singular form. When making their plural, they keep the original accent. For example:
Tengo un lápiz.
I have a pencil.
Tengo dos lápices.
I have two pencils.
