We use the preposition por (not para) to indicate price. Read and listen to these examples:

Mis amigos vendieron su casa por 1 millón de libras.My friends sold their house for 1 million pounds.

Vendo el cuadro por 5000 dólares.I'm selling the painting for 5000 dollars.
