This Argentinian theatre play was written by Roberto Arlt and it premiered in Buenos Aires in 1937. It is an incredibly odd performance, whose argument is centered on an exaggerated reverie in order to escape from [the] everyday monotony. The characters go round dreaming of a trip to a desert island A man starts telling them about his travels around the world and how free you feel when you break out of the routine. This makes the characters feel unimaginable rage. The reason for this intense emotion is due to the oppressive space of the port office in which they work every day and that has been consuming them little by little. At the end of the play, they have to face reality and their boss, who decides to fire all of them for their inefficiency at work.

Clever stuff happening!
