Anna: So… where are we having dinner this year?
David: Don't start. We've been debating this since October.
Anna: Well, last year we went to your parents’, so it's only fair we go to mine.
David: True, but your parents live two hours away, and your uncle brings his karaoke machine.
Anna: That's part of the Christmas spirit!
David: No, it's part of my nightmares.
Anna: Come on, you survived it once.
David: Barely. What if we host it here this year? Neutral ground.
Anna: You mean we cook, clean and seat twelve people in our living room?
David: Right... Maybe not neutral so after all.
Anna: Look, here's what I propose. Lunch with your parents, dinner with mine.
David: Perfect compromise. Twice the food, half the peace.
Anna: Happy New Year, then.
David: You mean... Happy Same Problems Year.

I'll be right with you...
