How the test works

Literature not only reflects reality, but also decisively contributes to transforming it. Throughout the centuries, literary works have challenged power structures and driven profound social changes. Indeed, texts such as Don Quixote and 1984 do not merely entertain, but rather invite critical reflection on the human condition. Furthermore, writers act as mediators between the imagination and the collective consciousness. Thanks to its ability to anticipate trends and conflicts, literature serves as a mirror and, at the same time, as a compass for society. For example, numerous cultural and political movements have emerged from literary ideas that challenged the established order. Similarly, reading fosters empathy, as it allows us to understand other realities and expand the boundaries of thought. In short, literature creates history and constantly redefines it.
