I didn't have a clue that there were so many myths associated with Valentine's Day. To begin with, the expectations for this day are very exaggerated sometimes, and this creates great pressure on many couples. Next, another very annoying myth about this celebration is the one that dictates that gifts have to be expensive, when what really matters is not the price, but the intention and honesty behind them. And I say, what good is a forced gift? It doesn't make the slightest sense, just like thinking that this day is only for people in loving relationships. The things people say! Many people choose to spend this day alone cultivating their self-love and their personal space, or they share it with friends they love very much.
