My work experience

Spanish A2 writing exercise

Mis prácticas laborales

Maribel finished her work experience a couple of weeks ago and tells us how it went. In this exercise you'll practise El Pretérito Imperfecto, El Pretérito Indefinido and the comparative "as ... as".

Some vocabulary you may want to look up before or during this exercise: "department", "client", "task" and "to get along well".

I’ll give you some sentences to translate into Spanish

  • I’ll show you where you make mistakes
  • I’ll keep track of what you need to practise
  • Change my choices if you want

I did my work experience in an office. Unfortunately, the office was far away from my house, so I had to go by metro and bus every day. The first three weeks, I worked in the sales department. Every morning I did photocopying, I filed many documents and I prepared coffees for clients. Then, the last week I worked with the advertising department. How interesting! I helped my workmates with their tasks and I also got along very well with my boss. It was an educational experience as well as an useful one, and I learned new things.
