In the savage fight against forest fires three types of heroes are involved: first of all, firefighters are dedicated to extinguish fires, protect buildings and save lives in danger. These brave workers are trained to fight fire in the most adverse conditions, which can range from extreme heat to lack of visibility and thick smoke with toxic substances. In addition, rangers are also an essential element in performing this task. These professionals protect forests and natural areas through constant vigilance. Also, they must investigate the cause of the fires and raise people's awareness to prevent them. Finally, on this list are the volunteers, who are very knowledgeable about the terrain and very active in the fight against fires.
