In several European countries like France and Poland, specific laws are being drafted to be able to return looted art to its place of origin. In other countries like the United States, indigenous communities are demanding that some museum pieces be returned, because they belonged to their ancestors. These requests are not only intended to recover museum collections, but they also want to rescue private family assets. Due to this process of recovery of works of art, in the future it wouldn't be strange to see the disappearance of some of the world's most important museum collections.
