The origin of mindfulness is very ancient, it dates back at least 2,500 years and it appears between the border of India and Nepal. The concept of mindfulness comes from a translation of the word "sati" in Pali, which means to remember, in the sense of bringing to the present. It is a teaching closely linked to Buddhism, whose birth is linked to the figure of Siddhartha Gautama, a very rich prince, who decided to abandon his opulent life in order to begin another of retreat, thus becoming Buddha, the Enlightened One. The arrival of mindfulness in the West was thanks to the tourists who visited India. Today it is booming and it helps thousands of people reduce their stress and anxiety.
