In Spain these co-official languages exist: Catalan and Aranese in Catalonia, Valencian in Valencia, Basque or Euskera in the Basque Country and in a part of Navarra; and Galician in Galicia. These languages are official with Castilian in those communities. They are compulsory in school and in public administration according to the Statutes of Autonomy.
