-My son, so many cloths must have been produced in the numerous textile factories of Alcoy. I don't know if you know that Alcoy is in Alicante, and that is at the head of this industry in Spain.
-And how come was this industry was established there?
-Well we have proof that it arrived in that city in the hands of the Arabs, by organising themselves around the river.
-What you are telling me is extremely interesting.
-Isn't it? But the story does not end there, Alcoy boasts of having special relevance in other sectors such as metallurgy and that of paper.
-The truth is that, for a modest city, it has a very important industrial network.
-That's right, and many of its products, especially textiles, are exported every day to other countries.
