Demonstrative adjectives in Spanish

To express this/these + [noun] in Spanish, you use the following demonstrative adjectives: este, esta, estos, estas + [noun].
Like in English (this), you use these to talk about something or someone that is close to the speaker.

Esta casa es azul.This house is blue.

Este camión es muy grande.This truck is very big.

Estas niñas son mis vecinas.These girls are my neighbors.

Estos libros son caros.These books are expensive.

Yo tengo este libro.I have this book.

Este espejo es grande.This mirror is big.

Esta tortilla es sabrosa.This omelette is tasty.

Nosotros tenemos esta moneda.We have this coin.

They agree in gender and number with the noun they refer to, as follows:
