Pongo vs pone

In the exercise here: ¿Me ________ un café por favor? (Could I have a coffee please? [lit: do you put me a coffee please?](HINT: Conjugate the usted form of "poner" in El Presente).  The correct answer was pone, I picked pongo. After going to the lesson I still don't understand "pone". Pone should be used in the case of he,she and usted, correct?

I get it now after reading the Inma's replies below. Pone is the the usted, we are asking the masero to "put me a coffee" literally.  I'm good now.
