Another common idiom is "no ver la hora (de)"
¡No veo la hora! - I can't wait!
No veo la hora de volver a casa. - I can't wait to return home.
And another: 'IOP + hace ilusión'
Me hace ilusión la fiesta = I'm looking forward to the party
I think it's a gustar-type structure, like saying 'it excites me', but I don't know how common this is.
