Claudia: I still prefer the market, even if it's less convenient. Jorge: I understand, but the supermarket seems more efficient to me. Claudia: I think the local quality doesn't compare, nor the personal treatment. Also, if you valued the origin of what you eat, you'd go to the market more. However, I acknowledge that supermarket prices are more stable. Jorge: I would go, if it weren't so chaotic and slow. Also, I prefer to find everything without having to go to five different stalls. Sometimes I just don't have that much time to shop. Claudia: I don't know, even if it takes you longer, you support producers directly. Jorge: I don’t deny it, but my time is also valuable. Claudia: And what about environmental impact? The vast majority of supermarket products are packaged in plastic, without considering the damage this causes to the environment. If you came with me to the market one Saturday, you'd change your mind. Jorge: Maybe, if you promise not to make me haggle. Claudia: Deal, but you carry the bags. Jorge: That’s true, I always end up carrying everything...
