The Argentinian city of Puerto Madryn, which is located on the north coast of Patagonia, offers us an excellent opportunity to enjoy Holy Week with the most original Via Crucis ever known in the world, since it is an underwater Via Crucis. The route is similar to the one done on the surface, and in it a priest recounts the path of the cross through a hydrophone, while professional divers carry a cross nothing more and nothing less than 4 meters high. There are 14 stations in total during this route, the first and last are performed on the surface. The last station ends with the divers and the priest on the shore, where a large bonfire and a choir await them. This act of piety, carried out every Good Friday since 2001, can be witnessed from the Puerto Madryn pier.

Clever stuff happening!
