I was reading about how, unlike during the first week of lockdown, the items Spaniards have been shopping for have evolved. Currently sales of beer, crisps (US: chips), olives and anchovies have shot through the roof as people settle in for la hora del vermút at home, and often on videocalls with friends. Have a look at this video and see if you can hear these phrases:
- una cervecita por lo menos o dos
- el vermút del fin de semana
- pequeños caprichos que nos hacen más llevadera la cuarentena
If you find the narrator speaks a bit fast for you, after pressing play, try clicking the cog symbol then changing playback speed to 0.75, no slower or everything will be slurred and deformed!
