"La" is only used as the feminine for a direct object, correct? So in this example from the lesson the first "her" (se) is the indirect object of "dar" but the the second "her" is a direct object of "ver"?
Se lo daré cuando la vea.
I will give it to her when I see her.
If the second "her" were an indirect object, it would be "le", right? For example, is this correct?
Se lo daré cuando le hable.
I will give it to her when I talk to her.
Thank you!
I have gotten confused by a specific use of the personal a. As I understand it, if you are mentioning a person or group of people, you need a personal a infront of the person. For example if I am talking about a reporter mentioning Juan, I might say El reportero mencionó a Juan. It also looks like if I want to say that the reporter mentioned Juan to Ana, I should say El reportero mencionó Juan a Ana.
Is this correct? Is this also a general pattern - i.e. when I would normally use a personal a, but there is an indirect object (Ana), should I always drop the personal a and use the a for the indirect object?
Thanks
Hi!! I would like to ask a question. So I'm doing a presentation in Spanish and i want to use the present perfect subjunctive in the last sentence. I want to say "I hope you enjoyed my presentation". The dictionary says that it's "espero que les haya gustado mi precentación", but isn't "haya" the verb form for "usted" and not "ustedes"? Several people are going to listen to me, so I want to address them all. What do I say? Is it "espero que les hayán gustado mi precentación" or "espero que les hayáis gustado mi precentación", or is it the sentence I wrote earlier?
Thank you in advance!!
